Computer-Based Training
Free online, self-paced short courses in various accessibility topics are provided by the Kansas Accessibility Resources Network (KSARN), an initiative of Wichita State University in partnership with other Kansas higher education institutions.
Access Academy Community, an accessibility learning platform from Level Access featuring self-paced courses and microlearning modules, is available to Kansas state agency personnel through self-registration. A Quick Start Guide for Learners is provided to help you get started with Access Academy, along with other product support materials.
Accessibility Fundamentals is a course on Microsoft Learn that provides a primer on accessible authoring tools and practices for users of Microsoft products.
Adobe offers the ten-part Acrobat Accessibility Series of on-demand webinars covering PDF accessibility.
Training on the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template® (VPAT®) is available from the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI).
LinkedIn Learning courses are available to State of Kansas employees in participating agencies through the Kansas Learning & Performance Management (KLPM), and these include courses covering a variety of accessibility topics. To access the courses, log in to KLPM, click the Search tab, enter "accessibility" in the Search for… field, and click the Search button.
